Advice – Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s buckle count. Stay focused on your own path. Your breakthrough might be one run away.
I grew up riding and competing in show jumping and dressage, but over the past three years I’ve made the move into camp drafting and challenges—and I’m absolutely loving it. It’s been a steep but rewarding learning curve, and earlier this year I achieved a huge goal; winning the 2025 Willinga Park Gold Buckle Ladies Campdraft.
My focus for 2025 is to keep learning and improving, especially when it comes to reading cattle and timing, —both in the training and competition arena. I love learning something different from every horse I ride and the process of building strong partnerships.
Current Team:
-
Bronc – A Novice gelding by Acres Destiny, owned by the Wilkinson family. He’s
been a great partner and had the biggest impact on my drafting career so far.
-
Turners Stud Control – An 8-year-old maiden mare who has just recently joined my team.
-
Kenleigh Iceman – A 3-year-old gelding by Wingman, purchased from the 2024 Nutrien Sale. I’m really excited about his future.
I’ve also got a few lovely young mares coming through the ranks that I’m enjoying training and I can’t wait to see where they take me in the coming years.
Favourite Stockman n Co Product: The Women’s Kembla Vest or Jacket. They are the perfect mix of classy and comfy, especially throughout the cooler months.
