We do have some very exciting young horses and open age horses. Carrying bloodlines from stock horse and quarter horse genetics, with some of these being crosses. As a horse trainer the team constantly changes around but a couple we are loving at the moment is; Jakerio Lyncon, Struan Parks Just A Moment, Mulconda Misconduct and A little Smart Cat.

A typical day I would like to be to wake up and go down to the stables and train horse all day but as we also run a small farm there are usually odd jobs to do with fencing, cattle and general up keep of the farm also including bookwork, organising competitions, clinics and running our own stockmans challenge at Stroud.

What are 3 essential items packed for every campdraft?
A cold carton of beer, a good attitude and my saddles - I once went to a competition without my saddles it was terrible!

What are your favourite Stockman N Co products?
It's a hard call to pick because each year I like everything that is coming out but especially some of the jackets in the winter range and the half zip super plus the 3 tone hoodie is the most comfortable hoodie I have ever worn.

How do you overcome challenges you face within the sport?
There are many challenges when it comes to training and competing horses but I do believe there is an element of sports psychology in the competition arena. I feel if you have put the work in at home to get to the competition at the competition you go in, have fun and test out your training from back at home and that's the best you can do and if it works great and if it doesn't take the failure as a learning curve, go home and work on the weak points making you better for you're next competition. Therefore the way is see it is you fail your way to success. Having that mentality takes a bit of pressure off yourself because we are always learning.

Do you have a routine/any superstitions before a competition?
No, I don't really but I do always check my girth and reposition my saddle. I used to always have to be wearing a certain belt buckle that I had won and I had seemed to have won a lot wearing that when I was younger but now I just focus on the job at hand and try to get it done.

What is your favourite campdraft to compete at?
I love competing at Willinga Park, Warwick Gold Cup and in the past Paradise Lagoons but I especially love competing at Sydney Royal Easter Show World Championship Campdraft but I also really love a little local coma draft that has good people, atmosphere and good cattle called Comboyne Campdraft.

When you're not riding what do you get up to?
When I'm not riding or doing anything work-related I like to get into all sorts of activities and travel. Some of these include surfing, snowboarding, skiing, boating and jet skiing, with the occasional fishing and hunting.
