EMILY HOHMANN

BARREL RACING

I live in a 400 acre farm in British Columbia, and have competed in rodeo since I was 7 years old. I come from a rodeo family, my dad is a saddle bronc rider, bareback rider, bull rider, and steer wrestler. My mom was a barrel racer, and is also an equine massage therapist. I am going into my 4th year of university this year and I will have my bachelor’s degree in Social Work. In 2022 I let my little sister start competing on my main rodeo horse and now I am focused on training my young ones. Training my own has been challenging but also very rewarding and I am extremely proud of how they are doing in competitions. I have qualified and competed in the Canadian Barrel racing finals in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. This year I am hoping to take both my horses to the British Columbia Barrel Racing Finals! My horses are dinero, Max, and Kasey.
